The artist must, in many ways, be the mouth & the ears of his people. In the modern sense, this corresponds to the role of the griot in traditional Afrikan cultures. The artist is like a mirror. His work reflects & synthesizes the problems, the struggles & the hopes of his people. A Guerrilla Artist in my opinion is the highest form of such an artist. He/she is dedicated to moving me/we beyond survival.

i guess i am your radical commentator now.

first about the shooting... some people are just insane and can snap. clearly this what happened yesterday. but that is merely the end result that concluded after some build up. why would take honest investigation but his actions were no different than most of the violent videos that kids spend half their child hood playing or the sensless music that celebrates resolving issues with guns which is best demonstrated
