Leeke defines a life entrepreneur as: “a woman who takes responsibility for creating a fulfilling life that allows her to engage her spirit, heart, and mind in ways that reflect her purpose, passions, and gifts. She is authentic … a work in process and progress. She is committed to using her purpose, passions, and gifts to create balance in her life, generate income, serve others, and support causes and communities of her choice. As a life entrepreneur, she may work in her own organization or business and/or as a full-time or part-time employee for a government agency, organization or business. She may also volunteer her services to businesses, agencies, and organizations. The way she shares her gifts may or may not generate income for every service and product she provides. However, she values her time and each experience that allows her to share her purpose, passions, and gifts. She is an ordinary woman living an extraordinary life of significance.” Her definition is included in her upcoming book, That Which Awakens Me: A Woman’s Poetic Memory of Self-Discovery (iUniverse, Inc. - December 2008).

Mark your calendars for the fourth episode of BAP Living Radio on Sunday, September 7th at 7:00 pm. The show’s theme is “Cultivating Daily Life Practices With Spirituality, Yoga, Meditation, Reiki Healing Touch, Massage, and Essential Oils.” Karla Borders-Pope, a writer and founder of Brown Girl Gumbo blog (www.browngirlgumbo.com) will share tips on creating the classic fall wardrobe. BAP Living Radio affirms and supports the lives of women of African descent who self-identify as Black American Princesses (BAPs) and Educated Black Women (EBW). BAP Living Radio features programs that offer BAPs and EBW information about and a platform to discuss topics relevant to their lives. Topics of discussion include self-love, self-care, spirituality, health, finances, beauty, fashion, art, music, culture, films, travel adventures, fun events and activities, personal hobbies, books, magazines, education, community service, politics and news, careers, creativity, fitness, feminism, womanism, food, lifestyle, sexuality, relationships, family, green living, home decor, and entrepreneurialism.

Leeke created BAP Living social networking site (http://baplivingforbapsandebw.ning.com)
and BAP Living Radio in response to positive feedback from readers of her debut novel, Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One (www.lovestroubadours.com). Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One tells the story of Karma Francois, a thirtysomething California-born BoHo BAP (Bohemian Black American Princess) with Louisiana roots and urban debutante flair. The book shows how a woman uses therapy, yoga, meditation, art, music, poetry, and support from family and friends to confront the effects of her poor life choices and embrace a spiritual journey of healing and love. The book was published by iUniverse, Inc. in August 2007 and is available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnobles.com, Borders.com, Target.com, and Bookamillion.com.
