Words Of Wisdom Essay Contest: $10,000 scholarship each to 10 finalists

In remembering the past, what will you do to contribute to a brighter future? -Dr. Maya Angelou, poet
Alltel has teamed up with Dr. Maya Angelou to give away $100,000 in scholarships to 10 lucky finalists. The Alltel Words of Wisdom essay contest asks, "As a people, we've shown what we can do when called upon for change. How are you being called to build upon this new spirit of change?"
Contest rules are as follows:
• Essays must be 750-1000 words and must be the original work of the submitting author.
• Contest begins January 12 and ends February 14, 2009.
• Contestants have until 11:59 p.m. on February 14 to submit their essays.
