Personal Statement:
Art is an important expression of life that documents the thoughts, experiences, and traditions of an individual. Through using the arts whether if it is fine arts, literary arts or the performing arts, I believe that we need to engage the youth, adults and the community about the significance of arts and crucial it is for their development.
As a professional artist myself, in all forms, I engage the community by demonstrating my role in society. Through achieving that role, it is my responsibility to touch the lives of the youth, adults and the community through my paintings, drawings, designs, photography, poetry, or traditional West African dancing .
Art is important for survival!
